Mthiyane Primary visits the police station

Learners were treated to an insightful outing to the police station

A trip to a police station is not only informative, but also an eye-opener for youngsters.

Accompanied by educators, learners from Mthiyane Primary School were escorted by Sergeant Mkhize around Estcourt police station on September 12.

“The children were taught about the work the police do and how we deal with criminals. They were also shown where the criminals are kept and where the community is attended to. The learners were also sensitised about substance abuse, theft and bullying at school,” said Sergeant Mkhize.
