Road Accident Fund comes to Estcourt

RAF are set to bring their award-winning services to you

Issued by Linda Rulashe (Senior Manager Media & Public Relations)
The Road Accident Fund’s (RAF) award-winning service excellence will be taken up a further notch during its major service delivery drive to be held through the Fund’s outreach campaign ‘RAF on the Road’ at Estcourt Town Hall on September 28, from 8am to 4pm.

The RAF will reaffirm its commitment to provide car crash victims, their dependents and families with high-quality service at the event.

During the event, eligible community members are invited to claim directly from the Fund, thus saving them unnecessary contingency fees and disproving the notion that they can only claim through a lawyer.

They will also be educated about the RAF, given settlement offers, assisted with claims enquiries, and provided with the necessary support to rehabilitate accident survivors.

‘RAF on the Road’, a radical service delivery campaign, has brought much-needed RAF services in the last financial year to 10 communities countrywide, assisting over 7000 people and settling more than R205 million worth of claims.

RAF Durban Regional General Manager Ntsoaki Kunene said: “The RAF will execute its duties with further dedication and fortitude, while pursuing excellence across the business. We are driven by a desire to succeed and as the country’s social security safety net, we will endeavour to continue covering, compensating and rehabilitating those who are injured on our roads.”

Community members are encouraged to bring their ID documents to the event. Other important information required for new claims includes case numbers, SAPS accident reports, hospital reports, vehicle registration numbers and details of other parties involved in the car crash.

In the week leading up to the main event, the RAF will conduct workshops with various stakeholders in Estcourt in an effort to enhance awareness about the organisation’s products and services, including road safety initiatives.

Regional General Manager Kunene has the pleasure of inviting you to attend ‘RAF on the Road’ so as to use this opportunity to engage the RAF management directly.
