Animal Anti-Cruelty League urges you to vaccinate your dog against rabies

Vaccinations are done weekly from Monday to Friday by the state vet

Make sure your dog is vaccinated against rabies, urges the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL).

Dog bites cause 95% of human rabies cases and once the symptoms have appeared, rabies is 100% lethal.

The easy way to eliminate rabies is to have good-quality vaccines and mass vaccination campaigns in risk areas.

Dog owners need to be aware of the threat and make sure they get their pets vaccinated.

The rabies vaccination campaigns have already been done this year, but if anyone wants their dog vaccinated, they can go to the state vet in Pieters. These vaccinations are done weekly from Monday to Friday.
