Jessica makes her mark in the world of auto repair

Through Supa Quick's incentives, Jessica has been able to travel the world with her children and through owning franchises, has made her mark as a powerful woman in the industry.

“Without family, Supa Quick Dundee staff members, management and loyal customers, I would not be where I am today. It is because of their support I am a proud owner of two Supa Quick franchise businesses.”
These were the motivational words of Jessica Bharat, owner of the franchises in Dundee and Ladysmith.
Born and bred in the Phoenix area of Durban, Jessica matriculated from Westham Secondary School and then completed a one-year course in computer literacy at a college in Durban. Her first job was at a spares shop where she worked as an administrator.

“I was in admin for two years and that is where I met my late husband, Clive in 1993. We got married in that same year and moved to Dundee. We are blessed with three children.” After the move, Jessica’s husband became an entrepreneur with his own locksmith business and she worked as his assistant.

“It was very heartbreaking to lose my husband, especially because my children were still young and were still in school. However, I had to be strong for them and with the support from family and friends, we were able live after his passing.”
Jessica explained how she entered a typically male-dominated industry but still succeeded. She had no clue about tyre sizes, how to replace shock absorbers or the technicalities of wheel balancing and alignment, but her husband’s guidance had given her the confidence to accomplish anything she set her mind to.
