Abandoned dogs and strays on the rise in Ladysmith

A lovely pit bull is currently looking for a home after his owner moved to Bloemfontein

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) has taken in 59 dogs and puppies over the past month and a half. Three of these animals were found to be chained up by their owners. The rest had been abandoned.

The good news is that 22 out of the 59 have since found new homes. The league urges pet owners to please look after their dogs and ensure that they are housed in a safe environment.
