WATCH: Trolley dash winner ‘meats’ her target

How many items could you bag in 60 seconds? The Newcastle Mall is hosting a Trolley Dash Competition which will run until September 30.
Christelle Joubert was announced as one of the recent winners and nominated her daughter, Tanya as her proxy to do the dash for her.
She chose Woolworths at the Newcastle Mall as the site of the one-minute dash.
Building up to the moment, the vibrant Tanya ensured she had comfortable shoes on as she scouted out the aisle she would ‘attack’ first, under specific instruction from her mother.
With a visible sheen of sweat on her brow, Tanya sped her way to the meat section with one goal in mind; to fill up her trolley.
Winded and reeling from excitement, at the end of the minute she managed to bag more than R5 000 worth of meat, cooldrink and even had the chance to sneak in some chocolates too.
Congratulations to Christelle, Tanya and the Joubert family.
You could be the next Newcastle Mall Trolley Dash winner. Here is how you can enter:
Shoppers are required to spend a minimum of R500 on healthcare and groceries, at any store in the mall, during this time.
Participants must drop off their till slips, attached to the entry form, at the competition entry area which can be found at the Mall.
