Police have confirmed a teenager was stabbed to death and two others were injured, during a ‘summer festival’ at the Newcastle Swimming Pool on Saturday.

Another child was taken to hospital with critical injuries and has since been discharged.

While revellers – many of which were reportedly underage – continued to drink and party, the mortuary services vehicle made three attempts to enter the parking area to recover the body.
