Sesimpiwe makes it her business to achieve

"I feel extremely honoured and appreciative for receiving this significant send-off ceremony"

Sesimpiwe Mbatha (18) will be flying the Msinga flag high abroad after receiving a bursary to study towards a degree in Business Science in America.
As the country celebrates Women’s Month, Msinga Municipality Mayor, Buyisiwe Ngcobo, led a heart-warming send-off ceremony for Sesimpiwe on August 12, in the spirit of recognising the emancipation of women and uplifting women from deep rural communities.
Sesimpiwe is a former student at Prestige College in Pretoria.
She is originally from the Mashunka area of Msinga and recently completed her matric, on an athletics bursary, after which she was awarded a R120 000 scholarship from the Assupol Community Trust.
“I feel extremely honoured and appreciative for receiving this significant send-off ceremony by Msinga Municipality, which boosts my confidence and inspiration to realise my dreams – developing an innovative, creative society where individuals stand the chance to become global icons.”
