The Gift of the Givers foundation had a busy day distributing gifts to four organisations

While teachers welcomed the distribution of diapers to crèches, some jested they hoped the learners wouldn’t immediately start putting the donations to use.

Gift of the Givers local representative, Jaaved Khan visited Bruntville Crèche and Othandweni Mpofana Crèche recently, bearing gifts for the children, teachers and assistant staff.

Jaaved Khan hands over a pack of diapers to this delighted learner of Othandweni Mpofana Crèche in Bruntville.

130 children from both crèches received a supply of diapers and a warm woolen blanket each, which the children immediately wrapped themselves in.

It was then off to Project Life and the Estcourt Hospice Association, where further donations of diapers were distributed.

Estcourt Hospice Association CEO, Rena Licen, Gift of the Givers representative, Jaaved Khan and Hospice caregiver Dudu Mvelase.

The Hospice Chief Executive Officer was grateful when Khan surprised her with a box full of blankets to give to patients.

Altogether, 30 boxes of diapers (each box contains 24 packs) were handed out at the four organisations, accompanied by hundreds of smiles and words of gratitude.
