Blood buddies do their bit

Locals helped save three lives each with a pint of blood donated at the blood clinic

The monthly blood donor clinic, hosted by the South African National Blood Services (SANBS) last Thursday, got off to a slow start.

The nursing team remained hopeful and assisted 41 people to make life-saving donations, with 45 people who attended the clinic and three new blood donors warmly welcomed at the Estcourt Town Hall.

Farouk Jhetam supports the worthy cause with his 12th blood donation.

Esme Petzer bled her 47th pint last week.
