Massive crude oil spill in Ladysmith
Spill Tech vehicles can be seen in the area, conducting a clean-up
There was a massive oil spill in Ladysmith last night (July 31).
It is believed that the spill took place in Fairclough Road while oil was being pumped.
Public Safety officers responded to the scene and managed to contain the spill.
It is believed that some of the crude oil seeped into the river in the area.

Spill Tech vehicles can be seen, as workers clean up the thick black substance.
The pungent smell is still lingering in the air in the Egerton area and also in the vicinity of Public Safety.
