Female driver killed in head-on collision on the N3
The driver lost control of the car, causing it to veer onto the on-coming lane and collide with a truck
A driver lost her life after colliding head-on with a truck on the N3 today (August 1) at 1.25pm.

The accident report states that the female driver was travelling towards Johannesburg (northbound) about 5kms past Ultra City when she lost control of the light motor vehicle.
Within seconds, the vehicle veered off the northbound and into on-coming traffic on the southbound lane, causing it to smash head-on with a truck.
The car driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was killed. No other injuries were reported.
