Ponzi scheme alarm bells ring as Mnotho Group Investment managers disappear

People are saying it is another Ponzi scheme like Bitcoin Wallets

An investment scheme called Mnotho Group Investment, located at 95 Lyell Street in the Shrikantha Centre, allegedly shut its doors on Friday without returning some investors’ money. This investment scheme started operating in June.

On Friday, people who work for the scheme  told their investors that they were going out on lunch and that was the last time the investors saw them – they never returned to their place of work.

“I invested R5000 and was expecting to get R10,000 on August 2. Now these people took off with my money and I don’t know what I am going to do,” said an investor who did not want to be named.

People are now saying that Mnotho Investment Group is “another Bitcoin Wallets Ponzi scheme”. The latter collapsed last month and many victims are still heavily out of pocket.
