Babes Wodumo lights up Dundee July

The star easily shrugged off recent controversies

Putting aside recent Court controversies, Babes Wodumo, highlighted the Dundee July musical extravaganza.

Appearing on stage in the early hours of Sunday morning, the music star  (real name Bongekile Simelane), had the huge crowd rocking to her songs in a set that included all her hits. Babes (24) was born in Durban and appeared in the movie Black Panther album on a song called Redemption.

She was nominated for the 2017 BET Award for Best International Act: Africa.

She was in the news earlier this year when a video of her boyfriend, Mampinstha, allegedly assaulting her went viral. Babes herself was later cleared of assault.

However, all that was forgotten at the Dundee July when the music did the talking.
