Organisation gives hope to the blind

The school is in desperate need of the community’s help, in order to keep up with the running costs and maintenance of equipment and appliances.

The Newcastle Women’s Circle hosted a fun-filled day at Asimthande School for the Blind.

The group of nine women who make up the Women’s Circle, handed over much needed mattresses and food hampers to the learners.

“Newcastle Premier Foods was kind enough to provide entertainment and grocery hampers and gifts to the learners,” said chairperson, Shaida Jamal.

The school is in desperate need of the community’s help, in order to keep up with the running costs and maintenance of equipment and appliances.
