Water interruptions loom for Newcastle area
On social media today, Newcastle Municipality issued a statement regarding water interruptions in both and Newcastle West and East.
Newcastle Municipality has issued a statement, regarding water interruptions in Newcastle East and West.
The statement cites these interruptions, currently being experienced in Madadeni and oSizweni, are due to a technical challenge experienced yesterday, which led to very low levels at the Braakfontein and Hilldrop reservoirs.
The municipality is reportedly struggling to raise the reservoir levels, even though pumps are being pushed to the limit. However, no official response has been given by Newcastle Municipality at this time.
