Following a special council meeting last week, Mathula Nkosi has been voted as Endumeni Local Municipality’s new Deputy Mayor.
Cllr Nkosi (also the Ward 3 Councillor) and IFP Councillor Sipho Ndlovu were nominated during this meeting. Voting for these candidates was done by a show of hands, with Cllr Nkosi receiving the majority with 8 votes.
He later revealed the decision had been made, to move the office of the Deputy Mayor to Glencoe. This will reportedly extend further assistance to residents of the town and surrounds.
