Offender makes his prison break in Melmoth

A case of escaping from custody has been opened at the Melmoth Police Station, and the department has appealed to members of public for any information, which could lead to the re-arrest of Ngcobo.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Correctional Services has confirmed the escape of an offender on Saturday (June 22).

According to information from the department, the offender is Sabelo Ngcobo from the Pomeroy area, Greytown, who is currently serving six years’ imprisonment for breaking and entering.

The KZN Department of Correctional Services and SAPS want this man brought to book.

He escaped from Correctional Services, Melmoth at approximately 11.30am on Saturday.
