According to police, no arrests have been made regarding the hit ‘n run that claimed the life of 45-year-old RTI officer Thokazani Giainani Cele on the N3 on August 26, 2018.
The officer was busy with speed timing when he stopped an Audi. While he was talking to the driver of the vehicle, he was hit by a truck that did not stop.
The officer was propelled about eight metres from where he was standing due to the impact.
He died at the scene.
