Learners become polar bears and brave icy waters (Video Included)

There was lots of nervous laughter and trepidation before they finally dived into the freezing water

Daring Egerton Primary School learners braved the cold and swam through the icy-cold pool on Thursday morning, June 13. Yes, it was the Polar Bear Swim! There was lots of nervous laughter and trepidation before they finally dived into the freezing water.

The entire school came out to show their support to the ones who were ready to brave the icy waters.

The learners went in grade by grade, with the rest of the school counting them before they took the plunge. As a reward for their efforts and bravery, all the swimmers were given a cup of lovely hot chocolate to warm them up again as they stood shivering in their towels.
