41-year-old Sergeant Alfred Philane Dlamini who, has served Ladysmith SAPS for 13-years, was stabbed to death on Friday (June 7).
The incident took place at a tavern in the Steadville area, where a fight reportedly broke out and escalated to the point where Sgt. Dlamini, who was off duty at the time, attempted to intervene, he was then stabbed to death.
Four suspects were arrested a few hours after the incident, all of them have made appearance’s in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on Monday (June 10).
Ladysmith has certainly lost a good policeman, who will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
