Caxton cares for the destitute

The Caxton Cares Campaign will continue to collect items to donate to other NPOs in town.

As part of its Caxton Cares Campaign, the Newcastle Advertiser embarked on a donation drive, collecting items for various non-profit organisations and youth care centres in Newcastle.

The campaign has been running for almost four months and donations poured in from the community of Newcastle. Women’s, men’s, toddler and baby clothing items were collected.

On May 17, the staff of the Newcastle Advertiser visited the Newcastle Crisis Centre, Home Meah and Morester Children’s Home to hand-over the donations. The staff of the homes expressed their gratitude and emphasised just how much it meant to the recipients.
