Tragic death for driver and two children on R68
Disaster personnel and ambulance services had to work hard to remove all three bodies as they were trapped inside the vehicle.
According to captain of the Zululand Cluster, Gen. Babanango, a culpable homicide case has been opened following a gruesome accident that occurred near the Matafuleni area on the R68 (Melmoth road) this afternoon.
The driver of a Toyota Etios and two school children believed to have been hiking were all declared dead on the scene when the vehicle lost control and overturned.
The Vryheid Herald offers its condolences to the families of the deceased.
