Do you qualify for indigent subsidy?

Here is some important information to note if you want to apply for an indigent subsidy.

All homeowners, occupants and child-headed households, whose income is less than R3 440 can qualify for an indigent subsidy.

The subsidy includes six kilolitres of water per 30 days, fully-discounted sanitation and refuse, and up to 50 kilowatt-hours of electricity. Residential properties valued up to R80 000 are exempted also from paying rates.
