Police Minster, General Bheki Cele attended Martin Sithole’s memorial service today.
An official statement from the ministry indicates Gen Cele was present for the emotional service, which took place at the Fairleigh Community Hall.
Sithole and friend, Buthanani Shange were shot and killed on Voortrekker Street on May 12.
During the service, also attended by officials from Newcastle Municipality, Sithole’s family struggled to contain their grief at his death.
