Municipal Electoral Officer (MEO) Vusumuzi Magubane.

“We had one faulty scanner in Hlathikhulu which was sorted out immediately We started on time across Estcourt and did not have the problem of running out of ballot papers,” he explained happily.

This morning at Hlathikhulu, roads was blocked off and has since been reopened.

“No one has come to vote at that station but it is part of a service delivery protest. we will remain open until 9pm today. I urge everyone to come and exercise their right to vote as abstaining is not the answer,” added Mr Magubane firmly.

You can still head out to the voting station at which you have registered and make your mark. Remember to take along your barcoded ID.
