The school recently took delivery of a beautiful garden bench made from recycled plastic manufactured by Enviro Timbers.

As everyone is aware, the universe is quickly being destroyed by plastic. To make the children and their families aware of the need to recycle, the school began collecting number 2 plastic containers in 2017.

The target was 540kg in order to receive a bench. Milk/maas cartons, clothes washing liquid containers, many household cleaners and chlorine containers are all made from this plastic.

It took more than one year to finally reach the target, but the school got there. The challenge is on again to see if the school can collect enough number 2 plastic to get another bench.

Check underneath the container to see what number is inside the recycle triangle logo. It is a worthy cause and a free method of adding beauty to the school.

Thanks to all the parents who have participated, the children who have carted the waste into school and also the members of the Estcourt community that have dropped off plastic.

The school welcomes any washed out number 2 plastic containers to be dropped off at school.
The challenge is now also extended to the community. Help look after our immediate environment.
