Attempted murder charge for suspects after shoot-out with police in Steadville

The two suspects who were arrested following a shoot-out with police in Steadville on March 27 now face attempted murder charges.

The shoot-out happened after police received information that a crime was about to be committed in the area. The tip-off included a description of the vehicle in which the alleged criminals were travelling.

When police spotted and approached the vehicle, the occupants opened fire on them. The officers retaliated.

Two suspects were injured and arrested, while the other occupants fled on foot and managed to elude capture.

No subsequent arrests have been made.

The two suspects were charged for attempted murder and appeared in court in absentia. The case was postponed in their absence.
