Goats, groceries and grass cutter stolen – Three arrested

Thieves nabbed after stealing from Durnacol property

Three men, aged between 34 and 41, have been arrested for possession of stolen property in the Dannhauser area.

Warrant Officer SP Mdluli, Sergeant RV Mlaba, Sergeant NC Moloi and Constable PT Khumalo were doing patrols in Dannhauser at 2:30am on March 27, when they spotted the men.

The trio was in a white bakkie next to the BP Garage.

Officers stopped and searched the vehicle and found four goats, two flat-screen TV’s, a grass cutter, groceries and even some mutton stew.

The men were arrested and the items were confiscated as evidence. Further investigations continued and police discovered that the items were stolen from a property in Durnacol.

The men will appear in the Dannhauser Magistrates Court.
