Dumped baby found in CBD
Wrapped only in a towel with its umbilical cord still attached, the baby was allegedly found by a vagrant at around 7am.
A lifeless new-born baby was found in a municipal bin in the early hours of this morning on Murchison Street.
Wrapped only in a towel with its umbilical cord still attached, the baby was allegedly found by a vagrant at around 7am.
Bystanders alerted police and pathologists who promptly arrived at the scene along with a forensics unit.
The baby is declared dead.
The gender of the baby is still unknown and police investigations continue.
