Keith Richmond says a fond farewell to Estcourt

After almost a lifetime in Estcourt, Keith Richmond is relocating to Durban

After spending all his life in Estcourt, Keith Richmond is setting off to Queensburgh, Durban. Mr Richmond is part of the fourth Richmond generation. He is an accomplished farmer who also worked at the local quarry for a while. He also did some engineering works and run his own engineering company.

Mr Richmond was also part of the military service in Walvisbay. He is now ready for a peaceful retirement.
Born and bred in Estcourt, Mr Richmond attended Drakensview Primary School where he was part of the Boys Scout movement. He matriculated from Estcourt High School in 1973. He will hold dear to him the lifetime of memories made in Estcourt.

“I want to take this opportunity to wish all my family, friends and people I have had the pleasure of working with, a fond farewell,” he said; sounding bittersweet.

Mr Richmond looks forward to going fishing at any time of the day and also looked at the possibility of starting up a small business.

“Estcourt is a nice town with homely people, who I will miss dearly,” added Mr Richmond.

The Estcourt News wishes Mr Richmond much rest, more memories to come as well as a peaceful retirement.
