Armed men follow manager home, rob him

Police are still investigating and no arrests have been made.

The manager of  popular take away shop, Porto’s Fish and Chips on King Edward Street, was robbed at gunpoint last night after he was dropped at home by a meter taxi at around around 8.30 pm.

Police said two men ‘came out of nowhere’  in Hoskings Street area and demanded his handbag containing his belongings  including his  ID and other cards. One of his assailants was armed, police said.

Police are still investigating and no arrests have been made yet. Last Friday evening, the same shop was robbed when armed men held staff at gunpoint and made off with cash and other items.
