Lights out for Dundee as loadshedding strikes

How long will the lights be off? Even Eskom's website isn't sure

Eskom have implemented Stage 1 loadshedding from 11am today due to a shortage of capacity.

Rotational loadshedding is expected to continue until 11pm tonight, as Eskom hopes to reduce the demand on the grid.

However, there appears to be some confusion as to when the lights will go off in certain places and for how long.

According to the official loadshedding schedule, Dundee is only due to go off at 12 till 2:30pm. That was not the case however, as the lights went off just after 11.

According to the schedule as well, Glencoe and Dannhauser won’t experience loadshedding today.

That’s not to say though, that the lights won’t go off.

As we all know with Eskom, anything can happen.
