A dam of flowing sewage has been created at the back of a resident’s home in Poona Road.
Speaking to the homeowner, he says the problem started around November last year and keeps on getting worse.
He adds that the situation is so bad now that he can’t even get into his home properly without going through the smelly sewer water.
He has now even started turning away visitors, as the smell is so bad.

Councillor L Bhoobun has intervened and will take the matter up further with uThukela District Municipality.
Cllr Bhoobun is shocked that the municipality has left the problem unsolved for so long.
