A man’s body was found earlier today (February 6) in the Klip River near Peacetown.
Search & Rescue officers from Ladysmith and Newcastle were called out after the community told police that a man had been attacked and thrown into the river.
The exact cause of death is unknown at this stage.
It is believed that the man was murdered before being thrown into the Klip River.

The body was recovered with the use of boats and a search & rescue dog.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
This is the second body to be found in Peacetown this week, after a woman was found dead in the area on Monday morning (February 4).
