VIDEO: Jaws of Life used to extract driver in Vryheid Junction truck crash

The Jaws of Life is being used to extract the driver of a truck from the wreckage following a collision that took place at the Vryheid Junction intersection a short while ago.

While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, initial reports from the scene indicated that two trucks collided after one allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign while travelling along the road to Paulpietersburg.

The truck, in which the driver is entrapped, was travelling out of Vryheid along the Dundee Road when the incident occurred.

UPDATE: Frikkie Bekker of KZN Private Ambulance confirmed that two people were seriously injured in the crash but were in a stable condition and had been transported to Vryheid Hospital.
