  1. ‘Project Gotcha’ to curb crime – Estcourt police, the Community Police Forum and private security joined forces to launch Project Gotcha, aimed at curbing crime during the festive season.
  2. Two die in faction fighting – Two people were killed when an attack between the a group from Zwelisha and the Dlamini turned deadly.
  3. Christmas cheer for mourning families – Two families who lost their breadwinners received R2 000 cash and groceries, sponsored by staff from Imbabazane Municipality.
  4. Party held to thank service clubs – Shepstone Place Home for the Aged hosted a party to thank Estcourt service clubs for their financial assistance as well as helping with maintenance at the facility.
  5. Nest Bowling Club comes out tops – The Nest Bowling Club did outstandingly well in the Midlands Bowls Championships, with the men and ladies divisions scooping top positions.
