Blue Lions show character in Sevens Tournament
Sarel Cilliers’s 7s rugby team took part in the annual 7s tournament at Pionier High School in Vryheid this past weekend. With only a few days of training, Mr Dube and his boys surprised everyone to win the Bowl final, because having not played rugby for more than 7 weeks, they all thought fitness would be a problem, but the Blue Lions showed character and they lived up to their motto of “Never Surrender”. To get to the final, they had to beat the tough opposition and won the final against Die Anker 24/7. Well done boys! You made Sarel Cilliers High School proud. Good luck for next weekend’s 7s tournament at Witteberg High School in Bethlehem.
Action Cricket
The Sarel Cilliers action cricket development team is growing from strength to strength and narrowly lost their game against Dannhauser Secondary on Wednesday. Congratulations boys! Ayush Ramdutt and Shaveer Tooray excelled with the bat, scoring 50 in their skins, whilst the top bowlers were Kairav Dheena and Shaveer Tooray.
