A driver sustained moderate injuries after the truck he was travelling in overturned on the Amajuba Pass, earlier this evening (August 26).
Paramedics were called to the scene, where they treated the man for his injuries, before transporting him to hospital for further medical attention.
It is reported, the truck was transporting tar when it overturned.
The Fire Department was present at the scene, to control the tar which had spilled while officials contolled traffic.
It is unclear at this stage what exactly caused the truck to overturn, but the incident will remain subject to police investigation.
The portion of the road remains closed to traffic and motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
