Abundant blessings for Estcourt Hospice

This term, we have been teaching the children about how blessed we are to have the things we do and how we need to give to people around us

The learners of Estcourt Christian Academy (ECA) Preschool have been learning all about blessings.

“This term, we have been teaching the children about how blessed we are to have the things we do and how we need to give to people around us that do not have as much as we do,” explained Pria Patrick, the Preschool Co-ordinator.

With that said, they began bringing clothing items and toys from home that they wanted to bless someone else with. The collected items were recently handed over to the Estcourt Hospice Association.

“Thank you for the work you and your team do! I am certain many, many people appreciate all you do for them,” said Ms Patrick with gratitude. ECA is celebrating 20 years this year and this lesson was a great way of giving back to the community and putting into practise what they learn.

The act of blessing surely has been mastered by these little ones. The best part of this project for the educators was seeing how excited the class became to see the baskets filling up. One little girl even decided to give her teddy bear as her blessing.

“The most rewarding part of being an educator is when we can teach a child a principle and have them take it into adulthood,” said Ms Patrick cheerfully.

Estcourt Hospice Association is extremely thankful to the school, its educators, learners and their parents for the generous donations.
