Celebrate Women’s Day with the SANBS

The SANBS encourages the public to donate blood at the Estcourt Town Hall from 11am to 6pm, and further urge more women to come forward and donate

The monthly blood donor clinic will be extra special this Thursday as it is National Women’s Day.

Each day, nearly 800 women die from pregnancy-related complications worldwide. Currently 27 percent of maternal deaths are a result of severe bleeding during labour.

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) encourages the public to donate blood at the Estcourt Town Hall from 11am to 6pm, and further urge more women to come forward and donate a lifesaving pint.

Women’s Month is a great opportunity for blood donors to be reminded that when they sacrifice their time to donate blood, they save mothers who could die within hours without sufficient blood supply.

Please help the SANBS celebrate all women this Women’s Day and make a difference by donating blood. Your blood saves lives!
