Dam Levels: Spioenkop Dam just under 100%, with dam levels remaining constant through winter

The latest dam level readings for the Ladysmith area are looking good as we head into the winter months.

Rainfall was fantastic during summer, which has elevated the levels in most nearby dams.

Here are the most recent recorded levels from this week:

Spioenkop Dam is at 99.8%, almost overflowing, with Driel Barrage Dam at 95.7%.

Woodstock Dam is on 96.7% and Sterkfontein Dam 95.6%.

The lowest dam in KZN is Pongolapoort Dam, which is at 45%.

The cold front that is currently approaching might bring some welcome winter rain to areas in KZN, further elevating dam levels in the Ladysmith area.
