Watch: Wendy house completely destroyed by fire in Khwaja Street

First to respond to the scene were neighbours in the area when they saw smoke in the air

A Wendy house was completely destroyed in a fire last night (June 4) in Khwaja Street.

The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

First to respond to the scene were neighbours in the area when they saw smoke in the sky. They believe that a candle started the fire.

The residents, with the help of neighbours, started putting out the fire with a hose pipe and buckets of water.

Public Safety officers and the Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Firefighters put out the blaze in a matter of minutes.
