Local Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) councillor Mthembeni Majola is allegedly the accomplice in the high profile case of a murder plot of the Endumeni (Dundee) Municipal Speaker, Bongiwe Mbatha.

Mr Majola together with Xolani Shorty Makhathini (alleged hit man) and the Endumeni Municipality’s Mayor Richard Mbatha just made an appearance before the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court.
The three suspects in their 30,s allegedly planned an assassination plot against the speaker who is alleged to be an obstacle in the awarding of a tender.
The trio face two counts of conspiracy to murder. The case has postponed for May 30 where they will apply for bail. The men will remain in custody until their next appearance.
