Weather Update: Cold day in store for Ladysmith after snowfall on the Drakensberg

The Underberg area saw the mountains being covered in a white blanket of snow

Snow fell last night and continued this morning (May 15) on the Drakensberg mountains.

A large amount of snow has fallen at Sani Pass, which is on the border of South Africa and Lesotho.

A light dusting even fell on Cathkin Peak, which is situated in Winterton.

A high of only 17 degrees is predicted for Ladysmith today, so it’s going to be a cold one.
