Update: Some improvement at the furrows in Ladysmith

There is now less litter in the furrows and the black refuse bags have been removed

There has been some improvement regarding the illegal dumping that has been taking place in the original water furrows that run along Poort Road.

The Ladysmith Gazette ran an article on the litter in the furrows, with the municipality commenting that they had no knowledge of the issue and would start cleaning up the area.

“I’m glad some effort has been made, but more needs to be done, as there is still litter in the area,” one resident remarked.
