Cross country golf is back

Golfers will also be happy to know that, back by popular demand this Friday, May 18, will be the 10 hole Cross Country Challenge which will test the golfers over an interesting course layout.

Saturday’s club competition at Dundee C.C. saw a very mediocre field of twenty golfers competing in the 4 B.B.B.S. competition. Club Captain, Barry Sandy, and his partner, Walter du Plessis, combined very well together over the 18 holes to score an excellent 48 points to win the day, three points ahead of the pairing of Blessing Chiwaya and John Zulu who finished with 45 points.
Barry also won the Jackpot after scoring eleven points on the four allocated jackpot holes. There were only two players who managed to record a 2 Club on the day, and they were Marc Bradbury on the 12th and Gene Robson on the 16th hole.
Dave’s Wednesday Comp got off to a good start last week with fourteen players taking part in the 11 hole I.P.S. competition. There were five golfers who scored 23 or more individual points over the 11 holes, however, winning the competition on a count out with 25 points was Debbie Catlett. The progressive Jackpot is already in excess of R200, so we hope to see more golfers this coming Wednesday afternoon starting at 2pm.
