Sewer water stinks up furrows in Ladysmith

Many people in the area have been complaining for years about the smell

Residents have been complaining for years about the terrible sewer smell that comes from the original furrows that run along Poort Road.

Many business owners and residents in the area have complained that the smell repels customers and generally disrupts daily life.

“No one wants to stay here for long due to the stench,” one resident commented.

It is alleged that the raw sewer water that runs through the furrows is from Van Riebeeck Park.
