Critical injuries in crash along Helpmekaar Road
A minibus and a car collided head-on
Multiple injuries have been reported after a crash in Helpmekaar Road at about 8.30am this morning (May 13).
It is believed that a minibus and a car were involved in a head-on collision.
It is alleged that the minibus was travelling towards Ladysmith at the time of the crash.
Emergency services responded to the scene.
The jaws-of-life had to be used to extricate three people from the wreckage.
Four people are reported to be in critical condition.
Traffic is being diverted, as the road is closed at this stage. Clean-up operations are currently taking place.
