Mr and Miss Endumeni’s first annual beauty pageant

The event was successful and there was a great response from the community.

Lulamile Zondi (21), the founder and director of Mr and Miss Endumeni saw the need to give back to the community and help the youngsters.

The main purpose of this pageant was to unite, help and bring change to the community. The successful event was held in Dundee Moth Hall on March 17.

“We want to teach and help our brothers and sisters, not only in the pageant world but also in reality after the event,” said Lulamile, “we will not stop here and we want this pageant to become well known.”
The event was successful and there was a great response from the community.
“We thank them for their support,” said Lulamile. People enjoyed themselves and happiness was written all over their faces.
The community came in numbers to support their friends and children.
It was indeed a full house.
Having had such a positive response from the first event there is no doubt organisers will continue with this pageant making it an annual event.
“Though we had challenges when organising, we thank God we were able to overcome them. With our successful event we were able to crown our queen Kwazikwenkosi and King Fiston Amuri,” explained Lulamile.

The gentlemen category: King: Fiston Amuri, First Prince: Wandile Ngobese, Second Prince: Khululekani Sibeko.
“We had categories which were available apart from our top three and those were chosen by the audience, cameraman and the judges. It is with this motivation that although you might not make it to our top three, you have already made it here,” said Lulamile.

They won various prizes which included vouchers from Mr Price, Vice-Versa brand, the Dundee Mag, cosmetic sets, sashes, crowns, trophies and photo shoots. “We hope that next year we will be able to give them more than what we did this year as we hope to receive more sponsors and more support,” said Lulamile.
Mayor Richard Mbatha was thanked for his outstanding support and for the assistance he gave in making this project a success. Lulamile also thanked all the sponsors.
